Retired professional wrestler Hulk Hogan claims he was not responsible for several now-deleted events.
“Please don’t pay attention to the posts made today,” Hogan – real name Terry Jean Bollea – wrote in a June 5 Instagram post. “This did not come from me and will be deleted immediately.”
Hogan’s X posts have been removed entirely, but at the time of writing, a Google search cache showed that Hogan’s posts
“No one can compete with $HULK, not even your mother!” » declared a cached message, apparently contrasting it with the piece MOTHER by rapper Iggy Azalea. Another shared a link to the token on DEX Screener.
Other posts shared by Mashable reporter Matt Binder, which Cointelegraph could not independently verify, show a video of Hogan that appears to reference the token launch, but Binder points to a December video making promoting a karaoke evening.
HULK reached a peak market capitalization of $18.8 million on June 6 at 7:40 p.m. UTC, just over an hour and a half after its launch.
Its market cap then fell to $2 million 20 minutes later, and has stayed where it has been ever since, according to DEX Screener.
Cryptocurrency analytics firm Bubblemaps has claimed its data shows five wallets purchased 15% of HULK’s supply on token launch platform Pump.fun before Hogan’s X account staked the token.
Bubblemaps said the wallets sold $200,000 worth of unrealized gains of $1.5 million around June 6 at 8:00 p.m. UTC.
It is unclear whether or not Hogan’s account was hacked, or how it happened. Hogan’s team did not respond to a request for comment.

The alleged hack comes amid a slew of B-list celebrities launching their own cryptocurrency tokens.
Reality TV star Caitlyn Jenner, along with rappers Iggy Azalea and Rich The Kid, launched and endorsed Solana-based tokens last month.
