5 Ways FROM Can Make a Positive Change in Season 3

If you’re like me, you’re counting the days until FROM returns for its third season.

It’s been a long time since we’ve been back to that horrible city, watching things fall apart before Boyd at the last minute saved the city from succumbing to whatever was tormenting them and making it impossible for them to sleep.

With the city in recovery mode, Season 2 ended with Tabitha being pushed out of the lighthouse and back into the real world, without her family knowing anything.

This has been one of the craziest seasons you will ever see.

With the new season approaching, this is another chance to get answers.

It’s also a pivotal time for the series, which has a solid premise and a loyal fanbase that will grow impatient if it fails to move the story forward.

Audiences are fickle. They enjoy the thrill of the chase, but they don’t want to be disappointed in the end.

With FROM set to launch into another ten-episode series, there’s a lot at stake here.

This could be a crucial time for the series, which comes after a series that I personally enjoyed, but some fans found a bit lackluster.

If you’re one of those people who aren’t fans of the show, there’s plenty of time to change things up.

So I’m going to take a look at some of the ways the series could change things in the future.

Make monsters the biggest threat again.

The idea of the movie FROM is that the characters live in a city that they cannot leave because they cannot reach the outside world and that monsters come out at night ready to tear them apart.

During the second season of FROM, as the season progressed, the series moved on from monsters, with the cicada and the music box becoming the things to defeat.

It wasn’t a bad decision, since it tied into the beginning of the season and what Boyd went through in his escape from the woods, but monsters should always be the first antagonist.

It all starts and ends with them basically, because they’re the real villains of the whole thing, and it would be good for the show to remember that.

It may seem strange to talk about ways to change the show and then basically say stick to the status quo, but when these monsters come out of the shadows with their creepy smiles and compliments, just waiting for someone to mess up, it’s among the most annoying things you’ll see on TV.

The expansion of terrorism has not hindered anything, but who can not forget his roots!

Don’t prolong Tabitha’s newly discovered truth.

Tabitha’s appearance on the hospital bed after the boy in white pushed her out the window was amazing, and we head into this season without fully understanding what it all means.

Is she really back in the real world?

How long has it been since her family disappeared? What part of the world does she live in?

Is any of this real?

Tabitha’s journey is one of the most interesting things to consider, as is the idea that the forest might start to expel people into the world.

With two separate entities to consider now, the city and Tabitha’s new location, hopefully the book won’t take too long to answer some of the most pressing questions.

There should be no delay in finding out if Tabitha was just dreaming, if she was unconscious in the woods, or if she had in fact returned to a random part of America.

Tell us what’s real, and then take the story from there.

There are enough mysteries to keep us obsessed (more on that later), and solving one of the biggest ones, whether you can escape that city and survive to tell the story, should stand alone.

It should be interesting to watch her try to get back to her family, as well as see how Jim, Julie, and Ethan deal with her absence.

There are so many stories to be extracted here, it would be better if they got right into it and didn’t spend so much time asking us to put it all together.

Tabitha has made it out. And she won’t rest until she gets her family back. So let’s watch her do it.

Introducing some new pairings.

FROM has a huge cast, and they do a good job of getting the stories out there and involving everyone in the overall narrative, which is hard.

But I saw a glimpse of Jim and Kenny collaborating in the trailer, which made me think: Have we seen these two spend any significant time together?

If we had it, it wouldn’t have been enough to make an impression.

I’m interested in seeing these two people, who probably don’t have much in common, work together.

Will they work well together or will they clash with each other?

Do their ideas and theories agree? Or do they approach things in completely different ways?

It’s a small thing, but seeing the new character dynamics is exciting nonetheless.

Remember when Kenny and Ellis teamed up during season 2 episode 3?

It was great to see Boyd’s biological son and his imaginary son working together because it’s something we rarely see.

Now that the division between city and colony house is basically non-existent, it would be great to see everyone get along with each other more.

Boyd gets subplots with everyone, but what about some serious and Fatima content?

It will be incredibly random, but it will be something new.

Maybe Donna and Christy will work together on some god-knows-what, but I know they’ll do it perfectly.

Let’s change things up and see what hidden gems are out there.

Expanding and explaining some of the big secrets

As I said before, FROM has a lot of mysteries to solve.

How do you crash in the city? Why do you crash in the city? Where do monsters come from?

What does angkwi mean? What does the symbol that Jade keeps seeing mean?

I could go on and on, but you get the idea.

Mystery after mystery has been haunting viewers since the series premiered, and now it’s time we start getting some answers or at least a better understanding of some of these lingering questions before the series inevitably delivers a new batch of horror.

I worry that the show might turn into vicious circles at times, and I fear that we will feel frustrated by the lack of explanations.

You have reached a point where you have lost not only your patience but your interest in something that is of no benefit to you.

FROM has a killer idea, and when it works, there’s nothing else like it on TV.

However, one of the biggest things that needs to happen is more discovery and information.

Adding another puzzle before solving the many unsolved puzzles would be a grave mistake.

Don’t be afraid to shock the audience.

This should go without saying, but I’m saying it anyway.

It’s been a minute since we witnessed a death that was truly shocking.

I’m talking about shocking levels of Father Khatri. And while I loved this main group, this show should never make you feel like anyone is safe.

This city is dangerous and terrifying, and if we don’t believe that anyone can die at any time, then the writers have lost their plot.

I don’t want to see anyone go, but the series would be helpful if it reminded us of how terrifying this can be.

In the comments, tell me what you want to see from this season and what excites you most.

I’ll be back throughout the season to discuss this with you guys!

You can watch FROM on MGM+ when it premieres on September 22.
